Oceana NAS STEM Event

Forgotten Heroes Foundation hosted almost 8,000 children at the Oceana Naval Air Station STEM event for middle school youngsters in the Hampton Roads area.

Hampton Students Visit Foundation

Local students had a chance to learn how youngsters not much older than they learned to prepare for WWII in a plane like the Foundation's Boeing Stearman. Students got the opportunity to sit in it, examine the control surfaces and engine. They also listened to a Foundation pilot explain the training programs. Each student was given their own model of a WWII trainer to take home with them

Welcome to the Forgotten Heroes Foundation!

The Forgotten Heroes Foundation seeks to inspire and serve disadvantaged elementary, middle school, and high school students including minorities, girls, economically stressed and children with special needs. FHF also participates and cooperates with other charitable institutions to serve as a force for the improvement of at risk communities.

We are a volunteer group of aviation professionals and enthusiasts who banded together to help disadvantaged youngsters learn about and enjoy aviation. We do this by acquainting them with the history, science, people and planes who ushered in the modern world of air travel. We welcome anyone who wants to learn and/or help us get young people excited about the opportunities aviation (as well as science, technology math and engineering) can give them.
